Sábalo Beach
Also located in the Golden Zone, this is one of Mazatlán’s main beaches. Its waves are moderate, allowing visitors to enjoy a jet ski ride or a fishing excursion. It is also perfect for a family day under the sun.
Stone Island (Isla de la Piedra)
This beach’s tranquil waters are perfect for water sports such as swimming or snorkeling. It is also a popular spot for horseback or quad bike riding. To get here, take a boat ride from the port for only 30 pesos.
Los Pinos Beach
Also known as Pinitos Beach, this beach stands next to Casa del Marino. The waves go from moderate to strong, which makes them perfect for surfing or jet ski riding. It is one of the most popular beaches in the area.
Cerritos Beach
This beach is part of the coast’s northern area, which can be considered the last section of the Mazatlán coast. It is right next to Brujas Beach, but the two beaches are separated by a hill. Although Cerritos is an open-water beach, it is protected by a rocky inlet that forms natural pools, resulting in peaceful waters.
Gaviotas Beach
This beach is one of the most iconic spots in Mazatlán. It’s popular among those who love diving, snorkeling, surfing, parachuting, kayaking, or sailing in a catamaran. All of this is possible thanks to its tranquil waters.
Olas Altas Beach
Located in old Mazatlán, near the port, it is home to a peculiar phenomenon. During a certain time of year, the sand moves toward the sea, making it feel as if the rocks on the beach had moved. It is near the boardwalk (Malecón) and, just like its name promises, its high waves are excellent for surfing.
Los Chivos Island
This small beach is right in front of Stone Island. Surrounded by rock formations on both sides, it boasts tranquil waters, although sometimes the tide creates strong currents. It’s ideal for swimming or just relaxing on the sand.
Venados Beach
Venados is one of the most beautiful beaches in Mazatlán because of its incredibly transparent waters. It is half a mile long and beloved by fans of snorkeling or kayaking. We recommend you board a 10-passenger panga and arrive at the beach by water.
Norte Beach
Norte is the perfect beach to visit with kids, thanks to its peaceful waters. Here, the little ones can play and learn how to swim. It is one of the most conveniently located beaches in Mazatlán, right in front of the boardwalk.
Barras de Piaxtla Beach
Named after the Piaxtla River mouth, it boasts beautiful natural views, such as the Punta Prieta cliffs, made of dark rock formations. You will also find a great arch named La Ventana. Interestingly, it faces the Arch in Cabo San Lucas, and both arches are gateways to the Sea of Cortéz.
Teacpan Beach
This beach is part of the Las Marismas region in Southern Mazatlán. It is home to many exotic birds, as there are several river mouths in the area. It is known for its rich vegetation and its unspoiled nature.
Pato Blanco Beach
